Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung officially inaugurated 31 members of the Jakarta Wage Council for 2025-2028 period at Balai Agung, Jakarta City Hall, on Wednesday (8/27).

The appointment was formalized through Governor Decree No. 479/2025 on the Appointment of Members of the Jakarta Provincial Wage Council for 2025–2028 Period.
According to the decree, the composition of the Jakarta Wage Council is as follows:

2. Turro Selrits Wongkaren (academic) as Vice Chairperson and Member.
3. Head Division of Industrial Relations and Workers' Welfare at the Jakarta Manpower Agency, Purnomo, as Secretary and Member.
“I, Governor of Jakarta, hereby officially appoint you as members of the Jakarta Provincial Wage Council,” said Pramono during the inauguration.
In his remarks, Pramono emphasized the crucial role of the council, noting that wage issues remain a sensitive topic each year.
He urged the council to work professionally and be willing to sit together and deliberate among employers, the bureaucracy, and workers.
“I believe you will carry out your duties to the best of your abilities, in accordance with the responsibilities entrusted to you,” he stated.
Pramono mentioned that Jakarta serves as a key benchmark for national wage policy. He noted that the 31-member, consisting of 14 from the government, 7 from employers, 7 from labor unions, 2 experts, and 1 specialist, plays a vital role.
He hopes Jakarta can become a role model for other regions in implementing a fair and widely accepted wage system.
“This is crucial, and I place full trust in all of you,” he emphasized.
Pramono hoped that today's inauguration would serve as a milestone in addressing Jakarta's wage issues. He believes that if Jakarta succeeds, other regions will follow suit.
“Good luck in your work, in your deliberations, and in finding solutions to Jakarta's wage challenges,” Pramono expressed.
